When you work with us we want to make sure you get a great website that fits your needs and budget. Here is the basic process for website development that you can expect.
Free consultation.
This time will be used to make sure we are the right fit for your needs. This consultation for the website is free. Based on the information you provide us we work with you to get a feel of your industry and the goals of your website. We will use this time to ask you questions and give suggestions on how your site will look.
Once we have come to an agreement on project details, timeline and price, we will prepare a website development contract for you to review, sign and send back with your deposit.
Domain Registration
If you do not have a domain yet, we will register a domain name for you (availability permitting). We can show you how to register a domain name or we can register the domain name for you. (domain name cost through us is $10 per year)
Initial deposit and Contract
Once we received the signed contract and 50% of the set up fee (total set up $200 to $500 decided during the free consultation) we will provide you with a copy of the contract and an invoice.
Development Process
Once we received the deposit and contract we will begin development of your website. We will set up a directory on this website (example madvigsolutions.com/yourdomain to allow you to view your site being built and give us feed back as the process goes along.
During this process you will need to let us know the navigation links you would like (such as home, about us, services, etc) and supply all text and/or product information to be included on your site. In addition, you may also supply material such as company logo, personal photos, etc, if desired. We can provide custom logos for you at an additional charge.
Once we develop the framework (or layout) we start putting in the following.
Site Search Engine: We use Spinder for site searches
Website Favicon: This is a small logo that appears on the address bar of the browser when someone adds you to their favorites.
Email Contact Form: We always recommend at least one contact form for your visitor’s convenience. Using a contact form, a visitor can email you directly from your website without needing to open their email program. This is especially convenient if a visitor is not using their own computer when their email program is not available.
Site content: We start to put in your content, logos, pictures to your specifications.
Testing and final preparations.
Search engine preparation.
Page titles, meta tags, search friendly content and page headings are checked to give you the best chance of ranking high in search engines. (we can not at any time guarantee how your page will rank in any search engine)
Browser compatibly testing:
We test your site on many different browsers to ensure it works properly for your visitors.
Grammar and Spell Check
We run a check for any errors and correct them.
Links
We make sure all links are current.
Website Launch
Final Payment is due before we can make the site live. Once payment is full we will move your website to the server and make it live.
Error testing
Final testing and adjustments are made to the site once its live. This is due to issues that can occur in when the site is live compared in development
Search engine submission
We submit your website to major search engines
Once your site goes live we periodically will check stats on how your site is performing and how it ranks in search engines. We also work with you with various ideas on how to promote your website better. (note: some of this may be at cost depending on the method of promotion)
